Digital technologies are transforming social, economic, and political relations, with profound implications for gender equality. Digital tools, including artificial intelligence, can both promote equality and intensify gender inequalities. The underrepresentation of women in the technology sector and the presence of sexist biases in databases are challenges that must be addressed. The digital economy, virtual spaces, and cyberfeminism offer new forms of emancipation and resistance. This dossier aims to explore digital transformations and their implications for gender relations.
Possible topics include:
● Digital transformation and gender inequalities.
Impacts on access to technology and digital literacy.
● Gender relations in virtual spaces
Gender representations in social media, games, and online communities.
● Artificial intelligence: challenges and opportunities
The impact of AI on gender relations and power structures.
● Cyberfeminism(s)
Feminist practices and theories in response to digital challenges.
• Other proposals related to the topic are welcome.
